This home was originally built in the 1800s. Gelcorp purchased the landmark home in 1994. At that time, the home needed a major restoration.  In the Winter of 1995, Gelcorp carefully and meticulously renovated this fragile home, pouring a new foundation (having to lift the home and strap it with cables), and built a fabulous 8,000 SF luxurious historic landmark home in the heart of Lincoln Park.
